Encore...More Diaper Cakes!

So--it seems as if over the past year my home has become a regular facility for diaper cake creations! Not only does my home regularly smell like baby powder, but I have also come along way since the first stab at making these back in August 2009. Since that post sparked such an interest, and my fertile friends have given me plenty of practice in making these, below is an actual step by step guide (with pictures!). I'll let the pictures do the talking for this post. Enjoy!

materials you will need:
stage 3 96 white diapers, pizza pan,
soup can, cake topper, glue gun, ribbon, string

Step 1:
Place soup can in pizza pan, and start
to curl the diapers around the can.

Step 2:
Keep curling.

Step 3:
Secure diapers with string.

Step 4:
Shift the diapers to be spaced evenly.
Remove can and replace with rolled diapers.

Step 5:
Repeat for all tiers. I prefer 4 tiers.

Step 6:
Secure ribbon over string.
Just put a dab of glue on the ribbon ends
to hold them together.

Step 7:
Add cake topper.
Viola!

The possibilities are endless
making each diaper cake unique!

My friend makes these and instead of the can she puts a bottle of lotion or baby shampoo in the middle.
